The Psycho–Social Unit delivers training in psychological and mental health issues, running several professional diploma programs in school counselling, family counselling and counselling supervision.

The Center for Continuing Education researches and seeds state of the art programs and approaches in psycho-social development. Recognizing the important role of environment, context and culture in mental health, and the extreme nature of life under military occupation, we build upon global models, while carefully customizing them to the Palestinian context and Palestinian needs. This entails ongoing local design-based research, continuous evaluation and review of results, and a timely feedback system.

The bulk of the CCE’s work in psycho-social development is focused on capacity building, to create new leaders who will catalyze advances in counseling services nationwide. The CCE Psycho-Social Unit (PSU) leads all of our work in this area.
