Palestinian Development:

  •  The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group (PHRMG): The Palestinian Human Rights Monitoring Group (PHRMG) was founded in December 1996 in response to the deteriorating state of democracy and human rights under the newly established Palestinian Authority. The group was founded by a diverse group of well-established Palestinians, including Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) members, newspaper editors, journalists, a union leader, veteran human rights activists and religious leaders.

  • The Palestinian Independent Commission for Citizens’ Rights (PICCR): PICCR is the first National Human Rights Institution in the Arab World. Its mandate is concentrated on ensuring respect for citizens' rights in Palestine through constantly striving to uphold respect for the rule of law by all official bodies.

  • Jerusalem Media & Communication Centre (JMCC): JMCC was established in 1988 by a group of Palestinian journalists and researchers to provide information on events in the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and the Gaza Strip.

  • MA’AN Center: MA’AN’s mission is to work towards sustainable human development through:
    * The development of Palestinian human resources
    * Institutional building
    * Conducting developmental research
    * Creating sustainable agricultural models

  • PASSIA- Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs:  PASSIA is an Arab non-profit institution located in Jerusalem/Al-Quds with a financially and legally independent status. It is not affiliated with any government, political party or organization. PASSIA seeks to present the Palestinian Question in its national, Arab and international contexts through academic research, dialogue and publication.

  • Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (PSR): PSR programs and activities are organized through three units: the Domestic Politics Unit (DPU), the Strategic Analysis Unit (SAU), and the Survey Research Unit (SRU). These units conduct and organize four types of activities: research and policy analysis, empirical surveys and public opinion polls, task forces and study groups, and meetings and conferences.

  • Muwatin, The Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy: Muwatin, The Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy, was founded in January 1992 to promote the study and development of democracy in Palestine and in the region.

  • The Palestinain National Authority (PNA): The official web site for PNA.

  •  Ministry of Foreign Affairs:  This Ministry undertakes all the duties associated with a typical foreign ministry in a sovereign country, in the course of managing Palestine’s foreign relations that serves its national interests.

  • Ministery of National Economy: Vision Statement: To contribute to Palestinian national welfare by creating a highly supportive enabling environment for private sector development.

  •  Central Elections Commission (CEC): The CEC was established on October 27, 2002 as the supreme body responsible for the administration, conduct and supervision of the Palestinian Presidential and Legislative Elections pursuant to the Presidential Decree No 15 of 2002

  • Palestinian Economic Council for Development (PECDAR): The mandate covers arrange of responsibilities including Aid Coordination, Economic Policy, Projects Managements, Coordination with NGO'S and UN specialized Agencies, Technical assistance and Training as well as IT.

  • Palestinian National Information Center (PNIC): The PNIC is a mechanism of gathering, cataloging, categorizing and updating Palestine-related information in a way easier for handling via computer networks and Internet, that allow all information-producing institutions to contribute in, whether they are ministries, official institutions, universities, research centers or civil establishments, to feed the PNIC with information, each according to its field of interest.

  • Applied Research Institute - Jerusalem (ARIJ): (ARIJ) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development in the occupied Palestinian territories and the self-reliance of the Palestinian people through greater control over their natural resources.

  • Bisan Center for Research and Development: Bisan, is a non-for-profit organization pursuing comprehensive approach to development in Palestine. More specifically, it seeks to promote the formation and development of Palestinian civil society.

  • Institute for Palestine Studies: The Institute is devoted to a better understanding of the question of Palestine. Books in the Institute series are published in the interest of public information.

  • Ministry of Planning: The Ministry of Planning endeavors to the attainment of development emanating from the collective human spirit and ideals in all areas of life in order to achieve progress.

  • Palestine Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS): MAS is dedicated to producing sound and innovative policy research, relevant to the economic and social development in Palestine.

  • Palestinian Development Portal: The Palestinian Development Portal is an interactive portal for information and knowledge sharing on sustainable development in Palestine.

  • Palestinian NGO Network: PNGO is a civil and democratic gathering, which strives to support, consolidate and strengthen the Palestinian civil society on the basis of the principles of democracy, social justice and sustainable development.

  • Palestinian NGO Network (PNGO): A voluntary cluster of Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations who work in various human, social and development fields.

  • State Information Service (SIS): SIS most objectives, to contribute to the building and development of the Palestinian society in order to cope with Globalization in terms of Humanity, Science and Knowledge.

  • The Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy, MIFTAH: MIFTAH, is a non-governmental non-partisan Jerusalem-based institution dedicated to fostering democracy and good governance within Palestinian society through promoting public accountability.

  • The network for Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Israel "Ittijah": Ittijah is the network for Palestinian non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Israel. Established in 1995, Ittijah was founded in response to a clear and widely felt need for increased cooperating and exchange between Palestinian Arab organizations, both large and small. These organizations play a central and critical role within Palestinian society.

  • The Arab NGOs Network for Development (ANND):The Arab NGOs Network for Development (ANND) was established in June 1996, with the membership of 45 network and non-governmental organization from 12 Arab countries. The initiative for establishing ANND came from a group of Lebanese and Tunisian civil society organizations that met in 1993, during one of the preparatory meetings for the International Social Development Summit that took place in Copenhagen, in 1995.

  • The Gulf Research Center (GRC): GRC is a research institute committed to enriching and fostering academic and intellectual understanding of a range of crucial political, economic, social, educational, media, security and strategic issues relevant to the Gulf region.

  • Arab Planning Institute (API): The Arab Planning Institute is a non-profit regional organization whose primary mission is to advance the cause of economic and social development in Arab countries.

  •  Information and Descision Supporting Center - Egypt (Icds): The Icds (Information and Decision Support Center) is working to create the conditions required for accelerating the rate of social and economic development in line with national goals through conducting developmental studies and economic analysis necessary for supporting decision makers.

  • Arab Social Science Research (ASSR): ASSR also offers general resources: databases, encyclopedias, journals, libraries, maps, search engines, and Middle East studies centers, languages and associations of relevance to social science.

  • The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES): The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies (ECES) is a non-profit, non-government think-tank. The mission of the Center is to promote economic development in Egypt by conducting and disseminating applied policy research. The aim of this research is to develop viable policy options for Egypt in light of international experience. The Center’s activities are carried out in the spirit of public interest.

  • IDEAS: IDõõEAS, the largest bibliographic database dedicated to Economics and available on the Internet. Over 285'000 items of research can be browsed or searched, and over 190'000 can be downloaded in full text. 

  • IDRC Research Program for North Africa and the Middle East: Research related to social and economic equity is a large focus of IDRC's support in the region, notably in the context of the search for peace and development in Palestine.

  • Inter-American Development Bank: The Inter-American Development Bank, was established to help accelerate economic and social development in Latin America and the Caribbean.

  • International Center For Economic Growth ( ICEG): ICEG works with a network of more than 300 institutes which include more than 5,000 economists, former central bank presidents, ministers and heads-of-state from over 100 countries.

  • International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD): IISD contributes to sustainable development by advancing policy recommendations on international trade and investment, economic policy, climate change, measurement and indicators, and natural resources management.

  •  GEOHIVE : Global Statistics : GeoHive is a site with geopolitical data, statistics on the human population, Earth and more.

  • Roads and Environment Safety Center "RESC" : RESC is a Palestinian independent non-profit society established in 2000. It is the only center of its kind in Palestine in terms of the scope of its work. The Center is supervised by a Board of Trustees that consists of a number of professionals and community leaders. The Board is responsible for deciding on RESC general policies and strategic plans and oversees the Center's operation.

  • The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR): he Centre was established in 1995 by a group of Palestinian lawyers and human rights activists with the following mandate:
    1. To protect human rights and promote the rule of law in accordance with international standards

  • Almishkat Centre for Research, Egypt: Founded in October 1992, Almishkat is an independent, non-commercial institution devoted to advancing knowledge on contemporary Egypt, and Arab countries, through research in the social sciences, with emphasis on human development. Fields of research emphasis include: knowledge acquisition (education/learning and research/development), employment, governance and welfare (poverty).

  • The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information is a central repository for human rights information and websites in Arabic throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

  • The Palestinian Commission for Refugee Right Protection (PCRP): The PCRP works in light of the Human Rights Declaration, Geneva Conventions and all related Humanitarian Laws which are concerned with the significant needs of Palestinian Refugees in terms of advocacy, development, training and research issues by emphasizes various critical aspects namely, public Participation and Good Governance.

  • Palestinian Refugee and Diaspora Centre - Shaml: Shaml is an independent non-governmental organization dedicated to the research of issues related to Palestinian refugees and the Palestinian Diaspora.
