The Economics Club

The Economics Club in BZU was established on June 1,1994, the result of an idea raised by a number of students who worked very hard to bring their idea into reality. Since then, the Club gained much popularity, and elections are held each year to select the officers of the Club. The Club has been growing ever since and has had many great successes and many worldwide relationships.

The Club consists of student members and six faculty members who supervise the students' activities. Each faculty member supervises one of the six committees of the Club. These committees are:

The goals of the Economics Club are to serve the students' academic and social needs, to give them a better climate for study, and to help students with slower learning abilities or bad financial problems. In these situations, meetings are held between Club members and the department students to discuss the problems and difficulties the students might have. Books are given to students who cannot afford to buy them, advanced students volunteer to help students with lower learning capabilities. In many other ways, the Club helps these students to make their studying as fruitful as possible.

The Club holds activities as well. Every semester, the Club organizes a number of field trips, both for academic purposes and simply to have fun. Students visit historical sites, universities and other educational instutions both inside and outside Palestine. The Club organizes parties to welcome new students and also graduation parties. The Club works very hard and puts great effort into making their students find everything they need to complete their education.
