The activities undertaken in the program are implemented and developed partnership with several donors. To date the program received grants from the following organizations:
Henrich Böll Foundation:
A grant to support a focus-group workshop for curriculum development. This workshop was intended to develop a mutual understanding of ways and means to fulfill the goals of the MA program in an integral manner leading to the broadening of the scope of emphasis in teaching and training.
Ford Foundation:
- A one-year grant in order to undertake curriculum development, and establishing the resource center.
- Ford Foundation grant supplement:
The first grant was supplemented with another from Ford Foundation. This includes a grant for Curriculum development. This grant is intended to undertake research activities on relevant program themes of human rights principles, and concepts of good governance and citizens’ rights, and to provide in-house management, and technical support to program staff and students.
This grant aims to set up a fellowships program that would help meet the financial needs of outstanding student candidates seeking to attend this program. Furthermore, it aims to strengthen networking and collaboration activities with similar interdisciplinary programs abroad and disseminate information regarding the program’s objectives and relevance to local target groups including media, human rights activists, and governmental agencies. European Commission:
This is a three-year grant, which focuses on the establishment, launching, and development of the training program in Democracy and Human Rights in a manner that will qualify the program to be competitive in the professional academic and practical sense.
