As part of the Joint Master Electrical Engineering project funded by TEMPUS, a workshop will be held on Wednesday, 23rd of April at the Electrical Engineering Department at Birzeit University to determine the Intended Learning Outcomes (ILOs) of the master curriculum. The dean of engineering, Dr. Afif Hasan will provide the opening welcome speech. Dr. Haifa Takruri, the coordinator of the project at University of Salford will introduce the project to the audience. This will be followed by presentation from both, Birzeit University and Palestinian Polytechnic University about their role and vision of the program. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will participate through the head of the AQAC unite, Dr. Mohammed M. Al Subu’ will speak about the guidelines and motivations for establishing joint degrees between Palestinian universities. The director of TEMPUS office at Palestine, Dr Nedal Jayousi will speak about the role of the TEMPUS funding program in building man capacity in palestine. The participants will then take a tour through the laboratories of the Electrical Engineering Department. After then a roundtable discussions will be held to discuss the ILOs of the JMEE program. Key people from the industry are invited to the workshop to contribute in the discussion, they are expected to help define the industry needs and provide future projections on the market demands.
