Admission And Strategy

 The Department of Civil Engineering offers an undergraduate program leading to degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with concentration in one of the three areas offered (Structural Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering, and Transportation and Highway Engineering) according to student interest. Concentration area is indicated in student transcript.

Students are admitted to the department after the successful completion of the first year college requirements.

 The requirements for admittance to the department are:

              1.  Successful completion and earning a cumulative grade average of not less than 70% in the following courses: Mathematics 131 and 132, Physics 131 and 132, and Mechanical Engineering 121.

           2.     The department approval based on its active enrollment levels and absorbing capabilities. 

Specialization Requirements:

Successful completion of the following courses and maintaining a cumulative grade average of not less than 70%:

A)    Structural Engineering
