Mechanical engineering is one of the broadest and oldest branches of engineering and can require work that ranges from the design of very sensitive instrument to the design and manufacturing of enormous power plants. It deals with all aspects of the conversion of thermal energy into useful work and the machines that make this possible. Mechanical Engineering involves creative design, manufacturing, testing, evaluation, and distribution of such devices and automobiles, home appliances, spacecrafts, rocket engines, air conditioning equipment, nuclear power plants, controls, and robotics.
The greatest reason for studying mechanical engineering is that
student become well prepared for employment in a wide range of
exciting industries including aerospace, automotive, chemical,
computers electronics, fossil and nuclear power, manufacturing,
pharmaceutical, robotics and textile.
