__About CCLASP__ The Project aims at establishing a competence centre for landscape architecture and spatial planning at the department of architecture in Birzeit University. The objectives are three folds. First, to provide capacity building at the department of architecture at Birzeit University and other Palestinian institutions. This is achieved by training three students at the PhD level and six students at the MSc level. Second, to enhance public awareness in the region. This is achieved by organizing an international conference, three workshops, three short training courses, a series of seminars and lectures. Third, to promote sustainable landscape architecture and planning development in Palestine. This is achieved by establishing a Master of Science programme, the first of its kind in the region that will continuously provide the region with experts. Information about the two executing institutions, the department of land use and landscape planning at the agricultural university of Norway and the department of architecture at Birzeit University, can be found respectively at the sites shown to the right.
