Welcome to Birzeit University!
So, you are a staff member, a department, center, institute, student club ...
and you'd like to build a site at home.birzeit.edu, right?
Here's how to proceed:
- First, please read, carefully, the BZU web policies and guidelines (see below)
- Second, print and fill in the web request form (below). Bring along with a memo from your department and hand to the BZU network admin (at the Computer Center). The username/directory name may be the same and will be filled in with the help of the system admin.
- Third, obtain (from network/system admin) a username and password together with instructions on how to access the account
- Fourth, start building your site in compliance with policies and guidelines
If you already have a site at www.birzeit.edu, please check every piece of information on it before migrating it to home.birzeit.edu (most sites are out-of-date and need major work. Our recommendation is to plan your site from ground zero and use available material where fit, not fix available stuff)
www.birzeit.edu will host official university information including basic information about all departments, centers, programs, institues, clubs and facilities. Please start preparing this info (in MS Word). There will be links from BZU main page to all sites at home.birzeit.edu (please provide real, accurate, content)
