Scientific computing is a new emerging
multidisciplinary program that encompasses applied science and
engineering, applied mathematics, numerical analysis, and computer
science and engineering.... It focuses on the integration of knowledge
and methodologies from all the above disciplines, and as such is a
subject which is distinct from any of them. It requires domain
expertise, mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, algorithm
development, software implementation, program execution, analysis,
validation and visualization of results. |
This Program:
The graduate program in Scientific Computing is a
new pioneering interdisciplinary program that offers graduate studies
leading to the Masters Degree in Scientific Computing at the college of
science at BZU . It forms a trichotomy with the theoretical and
experimental methodologies that leads to a better understanding of
nature and enhances scientific research. The program integrates in a
harmonious way scientific, engineering and computer knowledge and
technology. Recently, scientific computing went through a great
advancement as a result of the enormous development of computers and
their application in science and engineering. |
